WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark men's tennis team (8-4, 1-2 NEWMAC) hosted their first NEWMAC match of the year against Wheaton (5-7, 1-2 NEWMAC) and came away with a thrilling 6-3 victory on Saturday afternoon from the Corash Tennis Courts.

Doubles: Clark 2, Wheaton 1
Singles: Clark 4, Wheaton 2
- Kirkorian got Clark on the board with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 victory in number two singles over Berteaux.
- Honnef also registered a convincing 6-1, 6-3 win in number three play over Murray.
- Shepherd-Johnson battled with Galligo in number one singles and prevailed 6-3, 7-6.
- In number four singles, Russo took the first set 6-2, fell 6-3 in the second set before winning the third set 7-5.
- Hovey (No. 5) 3-6, 4-6 and Seraj (No. 6) 6-2, 4-6, 3-6 were both edged in their singles matches.
What's Next
The scarlet and white will return to the court on Saturday when they travel to Coast Guard for a contest beginning at 1:00 p.m.
