Women's Lacrosse Drops NEWMAC Game at Babson

BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (5-6, 1-4 NEWMAC) traveled to Babson (8-1, 5-0 NEWMAC) for a midweek NEWMAC game and fell 24-1 to the Beavers on Wednesday afternoon from MacDowell Field.

How it Happened
  • Senior Mary Greene caused a pair of turnovers early in the first quarter and junior Annie Battle recorded a save before the Beavers jumped out to an early 13-0 lead.
  • Junior Saorla Scully and Batle each forced turnovers in the second quarter as Babson took a 16-0 advantage into the half.
  • Sophomore Victoria Holden recorded three saves in the third quarter and early in the fourth, first-year Kami LaBella put a shot on target that was saved.
  • Senior Greer McCarty scored the Cougars lone goal of the game off a feed from junior Erin Lucas as the Cougars fell 24-1.

  • Clark forced 14 turnovers, scooped up 11 ground balls, and won five draw controls.
  • McCarty netted Clark's goal, won three draw controls, and scooped up two ground balls.
