Seraj Wins in Singles and Doubles in Loss to Coast Guard

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Clark men's tennis team (8-5 1-3 NEWMAC) traveled to Coast Guard (5-3, 1-1 NEWMAC) for a NEWMAC contest and fell 7-2 to the Bears on Saturday afternoon from the USCGA Tennis Courts.

Doubles: Coast Guard 2, Clark 1 Singles: Coast Guard 5, Clark 1
  • Seraj recorded Clark's lone singles win with a 5-7, 6-4, 10-7 victory in number six singles.
  • Kirkorian (No. 2) and Hovey (No. 5) both won four games in each set as they fell 6-4, 6-4.
  • In number four singles, Russo won two games in the first set and three in the second before dropping the match.
  • Honnef fell 6-1, 6-2 in number three action and Sherpherd-Johnson dropped his match in straight sets in number one play.
What's Next
Clark will be back in action on Wednesday with a road match at Endicott beginning at 3:30 p.m.
