WORCESTER, Mass. - Clark men's soccer (0-1-0) opened the 2024 season with a 3-0 loss to Roger Williams (1-0-0) on Friday afternoon from Granger Field.

How it Happened

• Sophomore Evan Thompson attempted the team's first corner of the season in the first minute of play.
• Junior Diego Marin stopped a pair of shots in the 10th and 11th minute from John Fogarty and Max Patenaude to keep the match tied.
• In the 23rd minute, junior Mauro Perez Colon sent a shot just wide of the goal before Marin recorded another save in the 30th minute.
• Tommy Bowen gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute off a pass from Jack Wildermann and right before the half, junior Ben Siegel put a shot on goal that was stopped.
• In the 64th minute, John Fogarty extended Roger Williams' advantage to 2-0 with a goal off a feed from Liam Blaisdell.
• The Hawks added a third goal in the 72nd minute as Brandon Rodriguez scored on a header from Tommy Bowen to extended the edge to 3-0.
• First-year Graham Summers and sophomore Kofi Poku each attempted shots over the final 20 minutes of action as the Cougars fell 3-0.
