HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Clark University men's cross country team turned in a sixth-place finish out of 12 teams at the Hopkinton Cross Country Festival on Friday afternoon.

How it Happened

• Sophomore Summit Smoker led the way for the Cougars, placing 24th out of 125 runners with a time of 26:21.68.

• Freshman William Stone was next to cross the line, finishing 60th in 27:57.03.

• Freshman Benjamin Pennington (28:46.52), senior William Pulvino (29:17.15), and freshman David Seniuk (29:24.89) all finished inside the top 80.

• Junior Gage Delgado (29:35.10) and sophomore Nathaniel Storck (29:36.52) came through just seconds apart.

• A group of freshmen — Calvin Hillis Piecyk (30:04.19), Rodeo Purves-Langer (31:21.12), and Samuel Wong (32:48.69) — followed in succession.

• Junior Miles Caponi (33:50.49) and sophomore Michael Manley (37:23.32) rounded out the field for Clark.

What's Next

The Scarlet and White will prepare for next Saturday morning's meet as they travel to New London, Connecticut, for the Connecticut College Invitational, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
