Men's Cross Country Finishes 2025 Season at NCAA East Regionals

HOPKINTON, N.H. – The Clark University men's cross country closed out their 2025 season by competing at the NCAA East Regionals and posted a 20th-place finish on Saturday morning from the Hopktinton Fairgrounds. Four Cougars tallied PR's on the day.

How it Happened
  • Sophomore Summit Smoker placed first among the Cougars and 45th overall with a PR time of 26:03.3 in the 8k event, which marked the seventh time he has led the team this season.
  • Junior Robert Burton also registered a PR with a mark of 27:37.9, which placed him second on the squad and 110th overall.
  • First-year William Stone finished third on the team and 132nd in the field with a time of 28:06.8.
  • Fellow first-year Calvin Hillis-Piecyk placed fourth on the Cougars with a PR mark of 29:00.8, which was good for 155th overall.
  • Junior Gage Delgado (29:38.0) and first-year Rodeo Purves-Langer (30:07.5) rounded out the top six, with Purves-Langer tallying a PR.
