Men's Basketball Selected Third in NEWMAC Preseason Poll

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – The Clark University men's basketball team was selected third in the 2025-26 NEWMAC Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the conference office on Friday.

WPI was predicted to first and received three first-place votes, Babson was picked second and garnered two first-place votes, and Clark came in third, while receiving three first-place votes. Emerson, MIT (1), Springfield, Coast Guard, Wheaton, and Salve Regina rounded out the rest of the list.

The scarlet and white bring back nine players from last year's NEWMAC Championship winning team, headlined by rising junior Quentin Pridgen. Pridgen averaged 8.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game during the year and averaged 18.0 points between the NEWMAC Championships and NCAA Tournament. Senior Reid Neumann also returns after hitting 57 three-pointers a season ago and averaged 7.9 points per night. The Cougars also welcome eight newcomers to the squad this season.

Clark earned their fifth NEWMAC Championship and reached their 17th NCAA Tournament a season ago.
