WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University volleyball team (1-15, 0-7 NEWMAC) hosted their senior day game against Wellesley (8-9, 3-4 NEWMAC) and dropped the contest in straight sets on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Gymnasium.

Yumeng Liu were honored prior to the game for their contributions to the Clark volleyball program.
The Cougars fell 25-14 in the first and second set and dropped the final set 25-13.
How it Happened
- Sophomore Isabella Alcott recorded a pair of kills early in the first set before Liu tallied a kill off a feed from sophomore Hannah Harrington as the team trailed 12-5.
- Junior Winifred Gakidis, sophomore Abigail Venis, and Alcott all tallied kills in the middle of the set before Alcott tallied a service ace and another kill as the Cougars fell 25-14 in the first set.
- Clark jumped out to a 5-4 lead in the second set as the Blue committed four attacking errors and Alcott registered another kill before the Blue scored seven of the next 10 points.
- Venis, junior Harper Chinn, and Alcott all registered kills before the end of the set as Wellesley registered a 25-14 victory in the second set.
- Early in the third set, Alcott recorded a kill off a feed from senior Julia Dopazo and Smith registered a kill in the middle of the set to bring Clark within six.
- Junior Winifred Gakidis and Chinn combined for a block and both Alcott and Chinn tallied kills before the end of the match as the Cougars fell 25-13.
