WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's tennis team (6-0) closed out the fall portion of their season unblemished with a 4-3 victory against Nichols (1-1) on Thursday afternoon from the Corash Tennis Courts.

How it Happened
Doubles: Clark 3, Nichols 0

• First-year Benjamin Liu and senior Sai Chanda opened the afternoon with a 6-2 victory over Raphael and Harris in number three action.
• In number two doubles, junior Aris Kirkorian and sophomore Ziad Tabbara clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win against Alarcon and Hernandez.
• Seniors Edward Shepherd-Johnson and Graham Russo closed out doubles play with a thrilling 7-6 (7-3) victory against Albrikes and Bertrams in number one action.

Singles: Clark 3, Nichols 3

• Shepherd-Johnson earned his second win of the afternoon with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 victory over Albrikes in number one action.
• Kirkorian battled with Hernandez and registered a thrilling 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5) in number three singles.
• Tabbara clinched the match for the scarlet and white with a 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 win against Bertrams in number two play.
• Russo (No. 4) took the first set 6-2 against Singh, but dropped the final two sets 1-6, 2-6.
• In number six singles, sophomore Ethan Montane won the first set 6-2 before falling 3-6, 6-7 (3-7) over the final two sets.
• Liu (No. 5) registered a victory in the first set of number 7-6 (8-6), but was bested 6-7 (5-7), 4-6 in the last two sets of play.
