WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team finished 10th overall at the 2025 NEWMAC Championships after completing the last day of the Championships on Sunday from WPI. The scarlet and white tallied a total of 180.5 points across the four days.
MIT won the NEWMAC's with a score of 1678. Coast Guard (750), Wheaton (677), Springfield (636), WPI (454), Wellesley (435), Babson (416), Smith (342), and Mount Holyoke (183.5) rounded out the field.
How it Happened
- First-year Daizy Sweetman qualified for the final with a mark of 2:36.53 in the 200-yard breaststroke and clocked a time of 2:36.56 later in the day.
- In the 1650-freestyle event, senior Sydney Kochensparger (18.54.42) and Sweetman (20:37.99) each competed.
- Senior Emily Munjar recorded a time of 2:17.22 in the 200-yard backstroke.
- In the 100-yard freestyle, sophomore Libby Davidson just missed the final with a mark of 55.38, while junior Wynne Collins (55.67), senior Annemaire Walsh (58.43), and sophomore Sarah Tarinelli (1:04.72) also swam.
- First-year Charlotte Scott (2:43.68) also competed in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- The Cougars closed out the season in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Seguin, Davidson, Collins, and Kochensparger clocked a time of 3:41.67.
- Clark also had first-year Hazel Thomas, Tarinelli, Sweetman, and Walsh record a mark of 4:04.00 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
