SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Clark University rowing team's V8 brought home the Grace Rett Memorial Cup after topping UC Santa Barbara by two tenths of a second in the Women's DII/DIII/Club Varsity Eight on Sunday morning from Fiesta Bay-Crown Point Shores.

This victory marks the second time in three years that the Cougars will bring home the Memorial Cup as they won in 2023.

How it Happened

• In the women's collegiate 8, Clark's V8 of Mira Mills, Anna Cavanagh, Brianna Bodner, Danielle Chace, Charlotte Leavitt, Lucy Powdermaker, Anna Tinklenberg, Robbie Southall, and Katie Woods won the cup in the finals with a time of 7:16.792, which topped UC Santa Barbara for the second straight day.
• The Cougars 2V8 of Sowbernika Rajesh, Sara Parvin, Lindsey Wilder, Isabel Gustavsson, Anastazia Salazar, Jordan Cambre, Leyna Rogers, Abigale Luetjen, and Julia Bosco beat UC Irvine in both days with a mark of 8:15.337, which was better the UC Irvine's A boat.

What's Next
The Cougars will return to the water on Saturday when they welcome Conn College and Hamilton to Lake Quinsigamond for a regatta beginning at 8:00 a.m.
