KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (2-2) traveled to Merchant Marine (1-1) for a contest and dropped the game 18-1 on Saturday afternoon from Brooks Stadium.

How it Happened

• Graduate student Mary Greene and junior Elizabeth Cacciapaglia won draw controls early in the contest before senior Megan Fogarty fired a shot that went just wide of goal.
• Senior Annie Battle stopped a pair of shots later in the first quarter and Fogarty attempted another shot at the end of the quarter as the Cougars trailed 7-0.
• Senior Saorla Scully caused a turnover early in the second and Battle recorded a save before first-year Grace Steward stopped a shot as Merchant Marine led 13-0 at the break.
• Senior Erin Lucas got Clark on the board with a goal early in the third quarter and over the remainder of the period, Steward tallied three saves and first-year Paige Kemish saw her free position shot saved.
• Lucas fired a shot on target off a free position in the fourth and caused a pair of turnovers as the Cougars fell 18-1.
