WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's lacrosse team (5-9, 3-5 NEWMAC) hosted their senior day game against Mount Holyoke (3-10, 1-6 NEWMAC) and scored 10 goals in the first half to help propel the Cougars to a 14-5 victory on Saturday afternoon from Granger Field.

Battle became the programs all-time leader in career saves with 217 after stopping 12 shots against Mount Holyoke.
How it Happened
- Battle tallied three saves in the first four minutes of action and graduate student Lucy Szpila caused a turnover before Lucas gave Clark a 1-0 lead off a feed from Conners.
- Fogarty added to the Cougars lead half way through the first quarter off a feed from Lucas and netted her second goal of the afternoon from a Conners pass to extend their edge to 3-0.
- Battle broke the career saves record with 1:47 to play in the first off a free position shot and junior Alexandra Cacciapaglia caused a turnover before the end of the quarter as Clark held their 3-0 advantage.
- Lucas (man-up), junior Elizabeth Cacciapaglia, and first-year Sydney McMonagle opened the second with goals, with Lucas and McMonagle's coming off free position shots.
- After Emi Bisson scored for Mount Holyoke, the Cougars rattled off three unanswered goals as Conners scored and Lucas netted a pair as Clark led 9-1.
- With 0:32 remaining in the first half, Lucas found a cutting Fogarty and Fogarty scored as the scarlet and white took a 10-2 lead into the break.
- McMonagle, Fogarty, and Conners all created chances early in the third that were saved and graduate student Mary Greene caused a turnover before Conners found the back of the net off a feed from Lucas to extend the lead to 11-2.
- Sophomore Saraha Forrester, Conners, and graduate student Greer McCarty all scored in the fourth as the Cougars came away with a 14-5 victory.
