WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's lacrosse team (6-5, 0-4 NEWMAC) hosted their Renny Classic game against Springfield (6-5, 4-0 NEWMAC) on Saturday night and dropped the contest 17-5 to the Pride from Granger Field.

How it Happened
- Graduate student Jason Tautel caused a turnover and graduate student Casey McCullough tallied a save over the first five minutes of play.
- Senior Alex D'Entrone created Clark's first chance of the game that was saved before the Pride netted the first two goals of the contest over a three-minute span as Springfield took a 2-0 lead into the second quarter.
- Senior Matt Wells and graduate student Matthew Minkwitz nearly got Clark on the board with shots that were saved before Minkwitz netted the Cougars first goal of the game to make it a 3-1 contest.
- After three straight Springfield goals, graduate student Colin Howard found the back of the cage off a pass from Minkwitz as the scarlet and white trailed 7-2.
- Senior Ryan Kerr netted a goal midway through the third off a pass from Minkwitz after McCullough tallied three saves to make it a 10-3 game.
- Howard netted his second goal of the contest with another assist coming from Minkwitz as Clark trailed 11-4 and in the fourth Wells scored the Cougars off a feed from junior Brett Newman as the scarlet and white were bested 17-5.
