WORCESTER, Mass. – Clark University men's lacrosse head coach Jeff Cohen has resigned from his position after 16 seasons at the helm as announced on Thursday afternoon.
"I want to thank Clark University and the department for allowing me to coach at my alma mater for 16 years, said Cohen. "Leading the lacrosse program offered me the chance to build relationships with so many players, coaches and families and that is what I will remember most. I appreciate all the support over the years and can't thank the players enough for the dedication to me, my family and Clark Lacrosse."

His commitment to our student-athletes, his leadership, and his legacy will be remembered for years to come."
Cohen ends his 16-year career as the winningest coach in program history and recorded 107 career victories. He received four NEWMAC/Pilgrim Coach of the Year awards (2010, 2011, 2017, 2019). In his role at Clark, he helped guide the programs recruiting efforts and outreached with alumni. Cohen also guided the program to their winningest season, first NEWMAC Tournament (2014), NEWMAC Championship appearance (2017), and coached All-Americans as well as All-NEWMAC Performers.
Over a four-year stretch from 2016-2019, Cohen record three double-digit winning seasons. Cohen reached five NEWMAC Tournaments during his time with the scarlet and white and reached the Semifinals in the 2014, 2019, and 2021 seasons. 2017 was a historic season with 13 victories, six conference games, and reached the NEWMAC Championship against Springfield.
Prior to arriving at Clark, Cohen was the assistant coach at Colgate from the 2004-09 season. During his tenure as an assistant, he helped lead the team to its first ever top 20 appearance in the USILA poll at No. 16 (2008), finished first in the Patriot League (2008), coached the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year (2007), specialized the offensive concepts and face-off work. He was also an assistant coach at WNE (2003-04) and MIT (2002-03).
Cohen graduated from Clark in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in sociology. He was a two-year captain at Clark and is in the top 10 all-time in career points.
