"I want to thank Athletic Director
Trish Cronin and the entire search committee for entrusting me with the opportunity to be the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Clark University," said Colombini. "It is an honor to be joining the community and to have the chance to build on the successes of the lacrosse program under Jeff Cohen. I cannot wait to get started with our current student-athletes and their families, our alumni, and our recruits as we build toward the next chapter of this great program."
Colombini brings over a decade of coaching experience and joins the Cougars following nine seasons as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Emerson College. During his tenure, he became the winningest coach in program history and led the Lions to their most successful season ever in 2022, finishing with a 12-6 record and securing the program's first-ever appearance in the NEWMAC playoffs.
At Emerson, Colombini was instrumental in elevating the program on and off the field. His recruiting efforts brought talent from over 20 states as well as internationally, including Canada and China. He coached the program's first USILA All-American and NEILA All-New England honoree, and mentored multiple Academic All-Americans and All-Conference players. Under his leadership, the team set numerous single-season and career records and maintained a cumulative team GPA above 3.4 for 16 consecutive semesters.
In addition to his on-field accomplishments, Colombini spearheaded initiatives in diversity, equity, and inclusion, led fundraising efforts, and created innovative team development experiences. Emerson's men's lacrosse team was honored as the Sports Performance Team of the Year four times under his leadership.
Colombini's coaching background also includes stops at Colby College and Wheaton College, where he served in various roles including Interim Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, and Recruiting Coordinator. He has a long-standing reputation for fostering strong team cultures and prioritizing the mental and emotional well-being of his student-athletes.
He holds a Master of Science in Sport Leadership from Endicott College and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ursinus College, where he was a standout goalie on the varsity lacrosse team. He currently serves on the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse National Committee and has held roles with the USILA All-American Committee and Emerson's Office of Equal Opportunity.
