WORCESTER, Mass. – Clark University Director of Athletics and Recreation Trish Cronin is pleased to announce the hiring of Ashley Wilson as Assistant Athletic Trainer.
"I'm excited to support and build strong relationships with Clark's student-athletes," said Wilson. "I want to make a positive impact by inspiring and empowering student-athletes through care that builds confidence and supports overall health."
Wilson joins Clark from Regis College, where she served as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Prior to that, she worked at Dean College delivering comprehensive athletic training services across multiple sports, including football, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, baseball, and softball.
Notably, she also helped implement mental health protocols and mentored undergraduate students on related capstone projects, highlighting her dedication to student-athlete well-being beyond physical care.
Wilson holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Spanish from UMass Lowell. Her education was complemented by NCAA Division I and III clinical rotations, including work with Temple University Football and Women's Track & Field, Dean College, and Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
She is Board Certified through the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is certified in Mental Health First Aid, QPR Suicide Prevention, and Active Assailant Preparedness, and has participated in medical coverage at large-scale athletic events, including the Penn Relays and Special Olympics.
In addition to her athletic training roles, Wilson has served in various leadership and mentoring capacities, including as a resident advisor and student manager for UMass Lowell's women's basketball team.
