ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Clark University men's cross country opened the 2025 season with a ninth place at the Suffolk Short Course Classic on Saturday morning from Highland Park.
The Cougars tallied a score of 278, which was just behind Wheaton and ahead of Suffolk in the 5k event.
How it Happened
- Sophomore Summit Smoker led the Cougars and placed 36th overall, with a time of 16:38.67.
- Junior Robert Burton finished second on the squad with a mark of 17:25.83, which was good for 63rd overall.
- First-year William Stone posted an 82nd place finish, which ranked third on the team with a time of 17:52.06.
- Fellow first-years Benjamin Pennington (18:15.15) and David Seniuk (18:51.04) placed fourth and fifth among the Cougars.
- Sophomore Nathaniel Storck (18:51.36) and senior William Pulvino (18:58.57) rounded out the top seven.
- Junior Gage Delgado (19:33.22), first-year Calvin Hillis-Piecyck (19:38.97), first-year Rodeo Purves-Langer (19:48.18), first-year Samuel Wong (21:59.29), junior Miles Caponi (22:12.35), and sophomore Michael Manley (24:33.01) also competed for the scarlet and white.
