HARTFORD, Conn. – The Clark University men's cross country team traveled to Connecticut for their second event of the season and posted a seventh-place finish at the George Suitor Invitational from Wickham Park on Saturday morning,
The Cougars (185) finished just behind Westfield State (181) and ahead of Salve Regina (242).
How it Happened
- Sophomore Summit Smoker finished 13th overall and was the top Cougar for the second straight week with a time of 17:04.80.
- Junior Robert Burton finished second on the team with a mark of 18:18.80, which placed 55th overall.
- First-year William Stone recorded a 58th place finish with a time of 18:20.40, which was good for 58th overall.
- First-years Benjamin Pennington (19:08.90) and David Seniuk (19:29.00) placed fourth and fifth among the scarlet and white.
- Sophomore Nathaniel Storck (19:36.90) and first-year Calvin Hillis-Piecyk (19:37.30) rounded out the Cougars top seven.
- Senior William Pulvino (19:52.00), junior Miles Caponi (23:16.10), junior Gage Delgado (28:44.70), and first-year Samuel Wong (28:44.90) also competed for Clark.
What's Next
The scarlet and white will be back in action on Saturday, September 20 when they travel to UMass Dartmouth for a meet beginning at 11:20 a.m. from the Robert Dowd Course.
