Volleyball Swept by SUNY Morrisville and St. John Fisher

CLINTON, N.Y. – The Clark University volleyball team (0-5) closed out their weekend at the Hamilton Invitational with a pair of losses to SUNY Morrisville (6-3) and St. John Fisher (9-1) on Saturday.

SUNY Morrisville 3, Clark 1
  • The Cougars dropped the first set 25-18, fell 25-11 in the second set, took the third set 26-24, and were bested 25-13 in the final set.
  • Clark recoded 26 kills, 23 assists, 61 digs, and six service aces.
  • Sophomore Isabella Alcott led the team with nine kills and three service aces.
  • Junior Katelyn Williams added six kills.
  • Junior Julia Dopazo (9) and sophomore Hannah Harrington (6) led the squad in assists.
  • Junior Harper Chinn (15), senior Yumeng Liu (12), and Dopazo (11) reached double-figures in digs.
St. John Fisher 3, Clark 0
  • The scarlet and white fell 25-21 in the first set, 25-14 in the second set, and 25-13 in the final set.
  • Clark registered 14 kills, 13 assists, 30 digs, seven service aces, and five blocks.
  • Alcott led the team again with five kills and posted two blocks.
  • Graduate student Isabella Smit tallied three kills.
  • Harrington (6) and Dopazo (4) led the Cougars in assists.
  • Liu (7) and Chinn (7) tied for the team lead in digs.
  • Junior Winifred Gakidis added three service aces.
  • Sophomore Abigail Venis recorded three blocks.
What's Next
Clark will play their final game of a six-game road trip when they travel to Hartford on Tuesday for a contest beginning at 7:00 p.m.
