DANBURY, Conn. – The Clark University volleyball team (0-2) traveled to WestConn (1-2) for a pair of matches opening with a 3-0 loss and concluding with a 3-0 setback against Rivier (2-3) on Saturday afternoon from Feldman Arena.
Senior
Yumeng Liu joined the 1,000 career digs club in game one against WestConn today after entering the day at 998 career digs.
WestConn 3, Clark 0
- The Cougars fell 16-25 in both the first and second set before dropping the third set 12-25.
- Clark recorded 13 kills, 13 assists, 38 digs, and three service aces.
- Junior Harper Chinn and sophomore Isabella Alcott led the team with three kills each.
- Junior Katelyn Williams and graduate student Isabella Smith added two kills.
- Junior Julia Dopazo (6) and sophomore Hannah Harrington (4) led the squad in assists.
- Chinn (8), Dopazo (7), Liu (6), and Williams (6) all recorded over five digs.
- Junior Winifred Gakidis added two service aces.
- Sophomore Abigail Venis recorded two solo blocks.
Rivier 3, Clark 0
- The scarlet and white were edged 23-25 in the first set, dropped the second set 16-25, and lost the final set 20-25.
- Clark registered 27 kills, 26 assists, 53 digs, and four service aces.
- Alcott tallied a team-high 14 kills.
- Chinn (4) and Williams (3) ranked second and third on the squad in kills.
- Dopazo registered a team-leading 17 assists.
- Chinn (17), Williams (12), and Liu (8) led the squad in digs.
- Gakidis added two more service aces.

The Cougars will be back in action on Friday night when they travel to Hamilton for a contest beginning at 6:00 p.m.
