Cyriah Coleman, first-year
Atiya Watson, and the coaching staff earned All-Conference accolades as announced by the league on Wednesday.
This marked Coleman's second All-Conference honor as she earned NEWMAC Rookie of the Year and was on the All-NEWMAC Second Team. This year Coleman was named to the First Team All-NEWMAC and Watson earned a spot on the Second Team All-NEWMAC. Clark's coaching staff earned their first accolade since the 2003-04 season.
Coleman led the scarlet and white with an average of 12.2 points and 3.9 assists per game, while adding 5.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest. Coleman ranked third in the NEWMAC in assists and sixth in the league in steals. The sophomore reached double-figures in 17 contests this season, including 24 points against Wheaton. She posted double-doubles against Salem State and Wesleyan. Coleman was named NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week earlier this season.
Watson averaged 11.4 points, 3.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per night. She ranked second among all NEWMAC first-years in points, while ranking sixth in the league in steals per game. Watson reached double-figures in 16 contests this season, including a career-high 24 points in the NEWMAC Championship against Smith.
Clark, led by head coach Bridgette Reyes, and assistants Hannah Howard and Haley Wilder went 19-9 overall and 8-3 in conference to land the third seed in the NEWMAC Championship tournament. Their eight conference wins are the most since the 2013-14 season. Some key wins on the season included victories over Babson (First Since 2013), Coast Guard (2018), MIT (2013), and Springfield (2017). The Cougars reached the NEWMAC Championship game for the first time since 2005.
