NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Clark University men's soccer team (1-2-2) traveled south for a Tuesday afternoon showdown with Connecticut College (3-1). The Camels scored the opening goal of the game in the first minute and rode the momentum to the end, ultimately winning 4-0. 

How it Happened 

• Devin Kellan got the scoring started for the Camels, firing a shot into the netting 59 seconds into the match to gain an early advantage. 

• Going for a brace, Kellan would fire a shot 30 seconds later that would be saved by senior Jaime Pedraza. However, Kellan would not be denied as he found the goal again in the 6th minute to make it 2-0. 

• Pedraza would add two more saves in the 9th minute and the 18th minute to keep the deficit at two. 

• Connecticut College would break through on their third attempt, adding a goal in the 23rd minute off the boot of Max Weiss. 

• Senior Marc Kim would record the first shot on goal for Clark in the 29th minute, but it would be saved, with the Camels adding a fourth goal in the 36th minute from Boston Childers. 

• Two more shots on goal in the final five minutes of the half would be saved away by Pedraza, with the score sitting at 4-0 at the half. 

• Both teams would fire off-target shots early in the second half, with Pedraza making three saves over the final 45 minutes as the score of 4-0 held at the final horn.

Inside the Box Score

• Sophomore Jacob Ordonez, senior Myles Nelson-Atkins, and first-year Julian Dubash played the full 90 minutes in the field for the Cougars. 

• Pedraza played the full 90 in goal, recording eight saves in the effort, a new career-best. 

• Kim recorded a shot on goal, his second time this season firing a shot on target.
