LEWISTON, Maine – Clark University women's cross country opened their season with a trip north for the Bates NCAA Regional Preview, competing against eight other teams in the 3,340 meter run. 

How it Happened 

• Senior Nicole Steele was the first Cougar to cross the finish line with a time of 13:27.0. She was followed closely behind by First-year Rebecca Machado, who finished three spots later with a time of 13:33.5. 

• First-year Eliana Olkin (14:36.8) & senior Mary Elena Morales (14:47.9) were the next two finishers for Clark.  

• Finishing within two spots of each other were sophomore Lilianna Perin (15:34.1) & Antonia Schneider (15:44.9). 

• First-year Emma St. Louis (16:26.2) and senior Lily Vincent (16:50.9) closed out the opening night of competition for the Cougars. 

What's Next

The Scarlet and White hit the road again next Saturday, this time traveling south for the University of Hartford Invitational, beginning at 10:30 AM.
