Lincoln, R.I. – Clark turned in three top
15 finishes as the women's cross country team finished third at the
Tri-State Invitational hosted by the Community College of Rhode
Island on Saturday morning.
Isabel Burgess (Cumberland Foreside, Maine),
riding high off of her top 10 finish at last week's Worcester City
Championship, was again the Cougars No. 1 finisher, wrapping up the
5k layout in 21:42, good for 12th place.
She was followed by sophomore Erika Roth (Saco,
Maine) who was 14th with a time of 21:56. Senior Heather
Goodale (Middletown, Conn.) finished on Roth's heels in
15th place at 22:01.
WPI took first place in the race with a point total of (28).
Worcester State was second with 33 points, and then the Cougars
(76) and Fitchburg State (96).
Clark is back in action on Saturday when they take part in the
James Earley Invitational at Westfield State.
