Cambridge, Mass. – Perennial NEWMAC Champion MIT, continued its dominance of league foes with an 8-1 win over visiting Clark University on Saturday afternoon at the DuPont Tennis Courts.
The Engineers swept all three doubles matches and rolled three singles as well, with five wins – all in straight sets.
Clark's lone victory of the day came when sophomore Gaby Suriano (San Salvador, El Salvador) defeated Lauren Quisenberry in a third set super tiebreaker. Suriano won the first set with relative ease, 6-1. After dropping the second set, 6-4, she eventually took the third, 13-11.
