WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (1-0-1) earned their first win of the 2026-27 season with a 5-2 victory over St. Joseph's (1-2) on Tuesday afternoon from the Corash Tennis Courts.  

Doubles: Clark 3, St. Joe's 0

• Senior Olivia Shipley and junior Larkin Gardinier topped Nina Gardella and Jillian Milo 6-2 in number one doubles.
• In number two doubles, junior Amanda Keith and first-year Adeline Kontos also posted a 6-2 win over Kate Landry and Carolina Mancini.
• First-years Abby Aldridge Peacock and Julia Hynd secured the victory in number three action 6-4 against Aubrey Nosal and Daynah Echevarria.

Singles: Clark 4, St. Joe's 2

• Shipley clinched the first singles point of the match in number two singles with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Gardilla.
• Keith registered the Cougars' third point of the contest with a convincing 6-3, 6-0 win against Mancini in number three action.
• Gardinier clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Milo in number one play.
• In number four singles, Kontos battled with Beauchene for three sets, winning the first 6-2, dropping the second 4-6, and surging 6-3 in the final set.
• Aldridge Peacock took a game in the first set against Landry, but fell 1-6, 0-6 in number five play.
• Hynd combined to win five games between the two sets before dropping the match 1-6, 4-6 in number six to Nosal.

What's Next
The Cougars will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Roger Williams for a contest beginning at 12:00 p.m.
