WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-3-1) hosted Bridgewater State (6-4) in their finale of the 2026 with a 6-1 loss to the Bears on Tuesday afternoon.

Doubles: Bridgewater State 3, Clark 0

• In number one doubles, seniors Varvara Maltseva and Olivia Shipley won a pair of games against Morgan Smith and Aislyn Kelliher before falling 2-6.
• Juniors Larkin Gardinier and Amanda Keith also won two games against Ana Eccles and Maeve Snyder as they were bested 2-6.
• First-years Julia Hynd and Abby Aldridge Peacock were blanked 0-6 by Sarah Pothier and Samantha Bettencourt in number three doubles.

Singles: Bridgewater State 5, Clark 1

• Shipley registered Clark's lone win of the day with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Eccles in number three singles.
• Maltseva won six games across two sets against Kelliher, but was bested 4-6, 2-6 in number two play.
• In number one singles, Gardinier took three games in the first set as she fell 3-6, 0-6 against Smith.
• Keith won a game in each set as she dropped the match 1-6, 1-6 against Pothier in number four action.
• Hynd took a game in number five action as she fell 0-6, 1-6 to Snyder.
• First-year Claudia Olalquiaga competed against Bettencourt and dropped the match 0-6, 0-6.
