Cougars Take Part In ECAC Championships

Williamstown, Mass. – In a field that featured more than 250 runners and 40 teams, the Clark Univeristy women's cross country team had four runners compete at the 2012 ECAC Division III New England Championships on Saturday morning at Mount Greylock High School.

Junior Emily Neubig (New Albany , Ohio) was the first Clark runner to cross the finish line, turning in a 24:48 performance.

The Cougars, who only had four runners take part in the event, saw freshman Cate Huynen (Plymouth, N.H.) complete the course in 29:53, while senior Caroline Johnson (Roslindale, Mass.) was next at 30:23.

Clark's final runner was Jackie Leaf (Orange, Conn.) and her 31:14 time over the 6K layout.

The Scarlet and White will wrap up their first season under head coach Nate Kraft next week at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship.
