Keene, N.H. – Nathan Buck (Portland, Maine) paced the Clark University men's cross country squad with a 30th place showing, helping the Cougars to a tenth place finish at the annual Keene State Alumni Invitational on Saturday morning.
MIT's Roy Wedge and Benji Xie finished 1-2 to lead the Engineers to the team title.
Buck, meanwhile, completed the 5K layout in 17:28. The Cougars next finisher was freshman John Allard (Smithfield, R.I.) in 53rd place in a time of 18:23.
Robert Gammell (Mattapoisett, Mass.) turned in a 58th place performance, crossing the line in 18:42.
He was followed by Joe Kennelly (New Windsor, N.Y.) in 60th and freshman Will Walker (Falmouth, Maine) in 72nd position.
The Cougars will be back in action next week at the Smith College Invitational.
