Cougars Wrap Up Season At NCAA Regionals

Gorham, Maine – Clark University wrapped up its first season under promising head coach Bill Gray with a 43rd place finish at the 2013 NCAA New England Regional Championships last weekend at the Narragansett High course.

The Cougars were led by freshman Saraneh Fitzgerald (Norfolk, Mass.) who finished the 6K layout in a time of 25:04, good for 191st place.

Classmate Alex Jeannotte (Agawam, Mass.) was next to finish the course for Clark, completing the race in 196th place with a time of 25:09.

Another freshman, Kelsey Herod (Lancaster, N.Y.) was third for the Cougars in a time of 27:15, collecting a 293rd place showing.

The Scarlet and White's final scoring runners were Caroline Johnson (Roslindale, Mass.) and Xochitl Tlatilpa (Santa Rosa, Calif.). Johnson finished in 326th place, while Tlatilpa was 330th.
