The Clark offense struggled early on, getting just one basket in the game's first eight minutes and they found themselves behind 10-2. Clark eventually found its rhythm and after back-to-back baskets from Reilly, the Cougars took the lead, 23-21.
That lead proved to be Clark's only of the game as the Pride responded with seven straight capped by a Marro conventional three-point play and then went into the half ahead, 33-26.
The Cougars got as close as they would get in the opening moments of the second half when Megan Grondin (Cumberland, Maine) dropped in a jumper, but five straight points from the Pride made the score 38-28.
Clark would get the lead down to seven on a few occasions, but each time Regis had answer including getting their lead to its peak at 63-51 with less than three minutes to play.
After letting the Pride shoot a sizzling 54 percent from the field in the first half (14-for-26), the Cougars clamped down and held them to 32 percent in the final 20 minutes (9-for-28). They made up their scoring from the charity stripe, going 18-for-26 from the line in the second half and 22-for-38 in the game.
