Williamstown, Mass. – In a clear tune up for next Sunday's New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championships, the Clark University men's cross country squad placed fourth of four teams at the annual Plansky Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Mount Greylock High School.
Alex Hull (Mount Laurel, N.J.) paced the Cougar contingent content on staying loose in advance of championship weekend. Hull completed the 3.11 mile course (5K) in 17:59, good for 27th place.
He was followed by Rhys Duquette (Holyoke, Mass.) in 31st position (18:14) and John Allard (Smithfield, R.I.) in 33rd place (18:19).
Seamus O'Connor (Granby, Mass.) and Sam Smith (Hopkinton, N.H.) rounded out the scoring five for Clark in 34th and 37th places, respectively.
The NEWMAC Championships will take place on Sunday, November 1 at historic Franklin Park in Dorchester, Mass. The men's race will start at 12:00 p.m.
