Cougars Finish 20th At Shriners Invitational

Dartmouth, Mass. – Running on a hot, muggy course, the Clark University men's cross country team had a pair of runners finish in the top 100 of a packed course at the 43 rd annual Shriners' Invitational on the campus of UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday.

Alex Hull (Mount Laurel, N.J.) was the first Cougar to cross the finish line, wrapping up the five-mile layout in 27:15.

He was followed by senior John Allard (Smithfield, R.I.), who completed the course in 27:35 while Ryan Van Dine (Bolton, Conn.) finished in 28:00, good for 116th place.

The Cougars other two scoring runners – Seamus O'Connor (Granby, Mass.) and Tim Conley (Walpole, Mass.) – broke the tape right behind each other. O'Connor was first in 28:38.31 and Conley was clipping his heels at 28:31.87.

Clark will be back in action next Saturday when they take part in the Worcester City Championships at Moore State Park.
