Cougars Second At City Championships

Paxton, Mass. – Alex Hull (Mount Laurel, N.J.) led a trio of Clark runners to finish in the top 20 and the Cougars turned in a second place team effort at the Worcester City Championships on Saturday afternoon at Moore State Park.

Hull completed the five-mile course in 27:59 and was the first non-WPI participant to cross the finish line as the Engineers had all seven of their runners cross one right behind the other led by event winner Austin Scott.

John Allard (North Smithfield, R.I.) was the next Clark runner to finish, wrapping up the layout in 28:38, while Rhys Duquette (Holyoke, Mass.) churned out a 20th place showing in a time of 29:35.

The Cougars' other two scoring finishers were Seamus O'Connor (Granby, Mass.) in 29:49 good for 23rd and Ryan Van Dine (Bolton, Conn.) in 27th place in 30:03.

Clark is off until Columbus Day weekend when they take part in the James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State.
