Men's Cross Country Takes Part In Conn College Invite

Waterford, Conn. – The Clark University men's cross country team tuned up for the all-important New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships with a 6K course layout at the Connecticut College Invitational on Saturday morning at Harkness State Park.  

The Rundown:
Junior Ryan VanDine (Bolton, Conn.) was 166th (28:52).
Senior Samuel Smith (Hopkinton, N.H.) was 185th (29:20).
Freshman Satchel Smith (Treasure Island, Fla.) finished 133rd (29:29).
Freshman Thomas Alden (Groton, Mass.) finished 194th (29:32).
Freshman Jack Han (Bakersfield, Calif.) finished 204th (30:30).
Senior Ethan Winslow (Pittsfield, Mass.) finished 214th (30:52).
Sophomore Isaac Stone (Natick, Mass.) was 217th (31:07).

Coach Speak:
"The overall score won't show it but we had one of our best races of the year," said Clark University head coach Bill Gray, who saw several members register season personal bests.

Up Next:
The Cougars are off until September 29 when they take part in the NEWMAC Championships hosted by Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
