Women's Tennis Defeats Becker In Non-Conference Action

Worcester, Mass...The Clark University women's tennis defeated Becker College on Tuesday afternoon on Clark's Corash tennis courts, 9-0. The Cougars had 11 different players register a point in their frist win of the season. The Couars improved to 1-2 and the Hawks fell to 0-3.

Sophomore Anna Gates (North Scituate, R.I.) defeated Jacqueline Andrade (Somerset, Mass.) at the number one singles spot, 6-0, 6-2. In number one doubles Clark's senior Isabelle Long (Bellevue, Wash.) and sophomore Chloe Dunnell (Montclair, N.J. ) won 8-2 over Andrade and Victoria Puczydlowsk (Dudley, Mass.).

Becker is back in action when they host St. Joseph's (CT) on Tuesday, September 19 at 3:30 pm. The Coguars return to action after over a week off when they travel to non-conference opponent Johnson and Wales on Sunday, September 24 for a 12 p.m. start.
