Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Despite a career-high night from junior Hannah Favaloro (Blackstone, Mass.), the Springfield Pride's balanced offensive attack took down the Cougars, 85-60, in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) matchup at the Blake Arena on Wednesday.

How it Happened
Favaloro continued her strong play on the year with the forward posting a new career-high of 25 points while swiping four steals and grabbing nine rebounds. With an 11-of-15 shooting display, the forward collected her 14th double-figure scoring game this season and 34th of her career.
Sophomore Hallie Johnson (Princeton, Mass.) turned in 11 points and corralled six rebounds while classmate Ginny Benbow (Durham, Conn.) paced the bench scoring for the Cougars with 12 points in 20 minutes of action.
For Springfield, Graze Dzindolet paced the balanced scoring, registering 19 points off the bench while Alex Goslin, Stephanie Lyons, Lauren Rudolph and Amanda Carr all finished with double-figure scoring nights to power the Pride.
Clark came out strong as a three-pointer and a jumper inside the arc from Favaloro tied the game at 5-5 with 8:17 to go in the first quarter. Johnson continued the early momentum, knocking down a pair of deep triples to fuel a six-point unanswered stretch for an 11-5 advantage.
The Pride offense came alive in the final six minutes of the session as a combined 13 points from Dzindolet and Rudolph gave the host a 29-13 lead. Despite eight points from Favaloro in the second quarter, Springfield built upon its lead with a 10-point unanswered streak from the Pride leading to a 50-26 halftime lead.
Clark had its best quarter of the game out of the break, trading buckets with the Pride to a 23-21 total over the ten minutes. Favaloro caught fire in the third quarter, hitting on all six of her shots to finish with 14 points. With 2:07 left in the frame, Favaloro went on an eight-point personal run to close the gap to 74-37.
The Cougars kept battling in the fourth quarter, starting with a 5-0 run with points coming from Johnson and first-year Sarah Zambrano (South San Francisco, Calif.). Clark held a 13-12 advantage in scoring in the fourth quarter, but the Pride was able to coast to the 85-60 final score.
Clark shot 24-of-53 throughout the game while connecting on 6-of-20 from three-point range while the Pride finished 28-of-74 and 13-of-25 in the same categories. Springfield held a slim 44-40 lead on the glass with Sam Hourihan grabbing 13 herself for the host.
