WORCESTER, Mass.- Clark (3-3) closed out their fall season with a 6-3 win over the Vikings of Salem State (4-12) on Saturday afternoon from the Corash Tennis Courts.
The Vikings simply had no answer for the depth of Clark, with the Cougars winning No. 2 and 3 doubles, and No. 3-6 singles to earn a hard-fought victory.

Doubles
•The Cougars hopped out to an early lead at No. 3 doubles. Clark's pairing of juniors Nardin Sayoufi and Lilya Georgista got the job done with an 8-2 win.
•The scarlet and white made it 2-0 at No. 2 doubles with an 8-5 win, courtesy of graduate student Ellie Garfield and first-year Leilani Brown.
•The Vikings took a point back at No. 1 doubles. Sophomore Hannah Russo and junior Andrea Osses Konig fought diligently for Clark, dropping the match 8-4.
Singles
•The Vikings found success at No. 1 and 2 singles, with Russo and Brown both falling in their respective matches.
•The Cougars turned the tide at No. 3 singles, with Garfield registering an impressive 6-1, 6-2 victory.
•Georgista gave the Cougars a 4-3 lead with her emphatic 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.
•Osses Konig clinched the match for the scarlet and white with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 performance at No. 5.
•Finally, junior Maeve McEnroe put the cherry on top with the Cougars' sixth point, winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6.
What's Next
Clark is done for the fall season, finishing with a .500 record. The Cougars begin their spring competition season with an out-of-conference match against Eastern Nazarene. That match will take place from ENC on March 22nd.
