WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (1-5, 0-3 NEWMAC) welcomed Mount Holyoke (5-6, 2-3 NEWMAC) to the Corash Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon and fell 9-0 to the Lyons.
How it Happened
- Senior Maeve McEnroe and Crisi Patel played a competitive match in number three doubles as they won four games, before falling 8-4.
- In number one doubles, junior Hannah Russo and senior Liliya Georgitsa recorded four victories, but dropped the match 8-4.
- First-year Merielle Kane and sophomore Leilani Brown earned two victories in number two action in an 8-2 loss.
- In number six singles, sophomore Emma Allen won five total games across two sets, but fell 6-2, 6-3.
- McEnroe won three games in the first set falling 6-3 and dropped the second set 6-1.
- Brown (No. 2), senior Nardin Sayoufi (No. 4), and Kane (No. 5) each won three games across two sets, but fell in their respective matches.
- Georgitsa competed in number one singles and won a game in the second set.
What's Next
Clark will be back in action on Saturday when they welcome MIT to the Corash Tennis Courts for a match beginning at 12:00 p.m.
