Women's Cross Country Opens Season With Fourth Place Finish

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Clark University women's cross country began their 2023 campaign on Saturday morning from Highland Park in the 3k event and placed fourth overall.

Coach Mauro's Thoughts
Coco had an amazing race coming in 8th overall with a time of 12:50! She looked strong and in control! Siobhan had an amazing race! She started out strong with the help of her teammate Emma!  Emma also had a great first race as a cougar! Abbie was not far behind Siobhan! The two worked well together throughout the race! I am excited for what this dynamic duo is going to accomplish this season! Emmy had a strong performance as well! She unleashed that famous Emmy kick finishing strong!  Fatima and Emma killed their first collegiate races! With nerves at the start they both looked calm, cool, and collected throughout the race! They both walked away with a great start to the season and a race to be proud of! Lily V and Wynne finished strong together! Working as a team they could not be stopped! Meg had a strong race that went out hard!  This season holds nothing but promise for Meg!  Julia, Nani, and Mo were the ultimate support system! They made sure lunch was delivered, offered comforting words, and arguably the best cheering on the course! Again, a great day to be a Cougar!
