WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-2) welcomed Lesley (5-3) to the Corash Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon and came away with a 6-3 victory.

How it Happened

• In number two doubles, sophomore Crisi Patel and first-year Olivia Shipley came away with a convincing 8-5 victory over Legendre and Osocha.
• Juniors Emma Allen and Amy Marin shut out Farnsworth and Ramos in number three doubles, with an 8-0 win.
• Graduate student Maeve McEnroe and sophomore Merielle Kane rounded out doubles play in number one action, winning four games, but ultimately fell 8-4.
• Patel registered a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Farnsworth in number five singles to help extend Clark's lead to 3-1.
• In number six singles, Allen recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win over Ramos to give Clark a 4-1 edge.
• Shipley secured the win for Clark, coming away with a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Boyce in number four play.
• Kane battled with Whitten in number three singles and dropped the first set 6-3, but battled back to win the next two sets 7-5, 10-8.
• Senior Hannah Russo (No. 1) was edged 6-1, 6-1 and McEnroe (No. 2) fell 6-0, 6-1.
