NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (3-12, 0-9 NEWMAC) closed out their season with a road contest at Mount Holyoke (11-7, 5-4 NEWMAC) and fell 9-0 to the Lyons on Saturday afternoon from Smith College.

Doubles: Mount Holyoke 3, Clark 0

• Senior Hannah Russo and first-year Olivia Shipley won five games in number one doubles against Chai and Kaur before losing 8-5.
• Clark's s second doubles team of graduate student Maeve McEnroe and sophomore Merielle Kane dropped their match 8-0 to Allen and Kostadinovic.
• In number three doubles, sophomore Crisi Patel and first-year Winifred Gakidis took a pair of games from Smith and Vavra, but fell 8-2.

Singles: Mount Holyoke 6, Clark 0

• First-year Varvara Maltseva won four games in the first set and two in the second, but dropped the match 6-4, 6-2.
• Junior Emma Allen also combined to win six games across two sets, before falling 6-2, 6-4 to Vavra in number five action.
• McEnroe (No. 3) and Kane (No. 4) each won three games in the first set, but lost 6-1, 6-0 respectively in the second set.
• Russo (No. 1) and Shipley (No. 2) both fell 6-2, 6-1 in their singles matches.
