WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Clark University women's cross country senior Ruby Krasnow recorded a victory in the 5k event to open the season as the Cougars placed sixth overall in the Wellesley Invitational.

How it Happened

• Krasnow clocked a season-best time of 18:26.1, which was over seven seconds faster than Smith's Lyda Martin.
• Sophomore Nicole Steele placed second on the team with a mark of 20:29.2 and 40th overall.
• Senior Lily Carey (20:38.1) and junior Siobhan Connolly (21:07.4) finished third and fourth among the Cougars.
• Sophomore Mary Elena Morales (21:49.8), junior Abigail Gahagan (22:26.2), and sophomore Fatima Soussi (25:52.7) rounded out the top seven finishers.
• Senior Wynne Dromey (26:19.9) and sophomore Lily Vincent (27:53.2) also competed for the scarlet and white.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday, September 7 when they compete at Trinity starting at 10:30 a.m.
