HARTFORD, CT – The Clark University women's tennis team (0-5) closed out their week with a road match at Saint Joe's (8-2) and dropped the contest 6-1 to the Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon from the Elizabeth Ferry Speer Tennis Complex.
Doubles: St. Joe's (CT) 2, Clark 1
- Junior Crisi Patel and first-year Amanda Keith recorded a victory in number two doubles as they topped Garcia and Sirisavath 6-4.
- Seniors Amy Marin and Emma Allen won a game in number three doubles before losing to Hardy and Milo 1-6.
- In number one doubles, first-year Larkin Gardinier and junior Merielle Kane won three games against Santoro and Rossetti, but fell 3-6.
Singles: St. Joe's (CT) 5, Clark 1
- Sophomore Varvara Maltseva recorded a 6-3, 6-2 victory in number five singles over Mancini.
- In number six play, Marin fell 4-6 in the first set, took the second set 6-4, but dropped the tiebreaker 0-1.
- Allen won four games across two sets as she fell 1-6, 3-6 to Garcia.
- Keith combined to win two games in the first set with a 2-6, 0-6 loss in number three action.
- Gardinier (1-6, 1-6) and Kane (0-6, 1-6) competed in number one and number two play respectively.
What's Next
The scarlet and white will close out the fall on Tuesday when they compete at Lesley for a match beginning at 4:00 p.m.
