WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark women's swimming and diving team began the 2025-26 season with a home meet against Babson and fell 117-87 to the Beavers on Saturday afternoon from the Kneller Pool.

How it Happened

• In the 200-yard medley relay, first-year Lina Dawson, first-year Olivia Whitney, junior Abby Seguin, and senior Wynne Collins tallied a victory with a time of 1:55.34 to earn 11 points.
• Junior Libby Davidson won the 50-yard freestyle with a mark of 26.19 and the 100-yard freestyle (57.64)
• In the one-meter dive, first-year Maia Jaffee won the event with a score of 61.75.
• Dawson recorded a win in the 500-yard freestyle event with a mark of 5:44.56.
• Seguin tallied a victory in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.10.
• Whitney also recorded a win in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.48).
• First-year Reaghan Samson, sophomore Charlotte Scott, senior Brandy Mercado, and first-year Momo Sutton (2:06.90) also competed for the Cougars.
• Samson (12:01.62) and senior Sarah Tarinelli (13:07.41) placed third and fifth in the 1000-yard freestyle.
• In the 200-yard freestyle, Seguin (2:03.82), Collins (2:09.62), and Sutton (2:25.48) finished second, third, and sixth in the event.
• Senior Ivy Joyal (1:07.24) and Whitney (1:07.73) competed in the 100-yard individual medley event.
• Collins posted a time of 58.60 in the 100-yard freestyle and placed third overall.
• In the 100-yard backstroke, Samson (1:07.09) and Joyal (1:07.80) placed second and third.
• In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Davidson, Samson, Scott, and Joyal finished third overall with a time of 1:50.59.

Clark will compete in the Worcester City Championships at WPI on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m.
