Box Score NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-8, 0-1 NEWMAC) opened NEWMAC play with a road contest at Smith (2-5, 1-0 NEWMAC) and dropped the match 7-0 to the Pioneers on Tuesday afternoon.

Doubles: Smith 3, Clark 0

• Sophomore Olivia Shipley and sophomore Varvara Maltseva won two games in number two doubles, but dropped their match 2-6.
• First-year Larkin Gardinier and junior Merielle Kane (No. 1) and first-year Amanda Keith and first-year Chau Quach (No. 3) all competed in doubles, falling 0-6.

Singles: Smith 6, Clark 0

• Gardinier (No. 1), Maltseva (No. 2), Kane (No. 4), and Quach (No, 6) all won a game in their bouts before falling 0-6, 1-6.
• Shipley (No. 3) and Keith (No. 5) both competed for Clark.

The scarlet and white will return to the court on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Salve Regina for a contest beginning at 12:00 p.m.
