HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-7) dropped their final match of the spring break trip 7-0 to Dubuque on Wednesday night from Hilton Head.   

Doubles: Dubuque 2, Clark 1

• First-year Amanda Keith and sophomore Varvara Maltseva recorded a thrilling 7-5 victory in number two doubles.
• In number three doubles, junior Crisi Patel and first-year Chau Quach combined to win three games before falling 3-6.
• First-year Larkin Gardinier and junior Merielle Kane won a game in number one play, but lost 1-6.

Singles: Dubuque 6, Clark 0

• Keith battled for three sets in number four singles with a 5-3 win in the first, fell 2-4 in the second, and was edged 10-6 in the final set.
• Senior Amy Marin also took her match three sets, but dropped the contest 7-4, 2-4, 8-10 in number six action.
• In number one singles, Gardinier battled for three sets before falling 0-4, 4-2, 5-10.
• Maltseva (0-4, 1-4), Kane (1-4, 1-4), and Quach (1-4, 0-4) also competed in number two, three, and five singles.

The scarlet and white will open NEWMAC play on Tuesday, March 18 when they travel to Smith for a match beginning at 4:30 p.m.
