SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-12, 0-5 NEWMAC) traveled to Springfield (8-3, 3-1 NEWMAC) for a NEWMAC contest and were bested 7-0 by the Pride on Sunday from the Appleton Tennis Courts.
Doubles: Springfield 3, Clark 0
Singles: Springfield 6, Clark 0
- Senior Emma Allen collected five games won across two sets in number six play, but was bested 2-6, 3-6 by Chaisson.
- Shipley (No. 2) and Maltseva (No. 3) both earned four wins as they fell 1-6, 3-6 in each of their matches.
- After dropping the first set 0-6, Keith won three games in the second set in number five play against Peyon.
- Gardinier (No. 1) and Kane (No. 4) each won a game in their matches, but fell 0-6, 1-6 and 1-6, 0-6 respectively.
What's Next
Clark will compete in their final road match of the season when they travel to Babson for a NEWMAC match against the Beavers beginning at 3:30 p.m.
