WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University women's tennis team (2-13, 0-6 NEWMAC) welcomed No. 15 Babson (9-3, 3-1 NEWMAC) to Corash for the first of a three-game homestand and were bested 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

Doubles: Babson 3, Clark 0

• Sophomores Winifred Gakidis and Olivia Shipley dropped their match 0-6 to M Cristiani and O Soffer in number one action.
• Sophomore Varvara Maltseva and first-year Amanda Keith competed in number two doubles against C Soffer and A Cristiani and fell 0-6.
• In number three doubles, first-year Chau Quach and first-year Elena Zhakov were bested 0-6 by Sorrentino and Kamal.

Singles: Babson 6, Clark 0

• Maltseva won a game in the first set against Stasiowska before dropping the match 1-6, 0-6 in number three singles.
• First-year Amanda Keith also picked up a game won in the first set, but fell 1-6, 0-6 in number five action.
• First-year Larkin Gardinier (No. 1), Shipley (No. 2), junior Merielle Kane (No. 4), and senior Emma Allen (No. 6) also competed.

The Cougars will host their senior day match against Emerson on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:30 p.m. from the Corash Tennis Courts.
